How to play at GoldCoast Oceanfest
Each year we receive a shed load of requests to play GoldCoast. Demo CDs from hopeful bands up and down the country pop through our letterbox as a direct result of our preference to have a physical CD to listen to and present forward for selection. Our goal is to select and assemble the best possible line-up. Any metal is a no-no, it is just the nature of the event, you know the surf kinda thing! So no thrash, speed, death please and no techno, rave, dance party stuff for that matter either. Sorry to be specific but we don't want to waste your time.
Please note we will only be accepting submissions by post on disc please... NOT via MySpace. If you want to play please take the time to send us your cd (or mp3 cd) & bio to our address on the contacts page. Please don't expect us to hunt you down through MySpace! Once we have listened to all submissions we will begin the dreaded shortlisting process. Don't waste your time entering into pleading emails or badgering us by ANY means, fair or foul,... unless you want to pay us to listen to you! So leave it with us... it is a daunting task as it is.
*Shortlist
We NOTIFY all successful bands who have been 'shortlisted'. Unfortunately we can't notify every unsuccessful band individually. If you don't hear from us then you haven't made the cut, we are sorry but please it's a case of "Don't call us, we'll call you!"
Line up
Usually the full line up isn't released until May, but hey, we got it out just after Easter last year so we're making progress. The announcement is subject to confirmation by the artists, and it is done as soon as possible. If we are talking to you, you will have reasonable chance to sort out travelling arrangements.
